Celina Montoya

Celina D. Montoya is a dynamic leader based in San Antonio, Texas, with extensive consulting experience in government and community relations. Her expertise is in strategic planning and media relations, effectively advocating for business interests and enhancing community engagement.

President and Owner of Calm Mediation & Consulting, offering alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration, and high-level training on political engagement and strategy.

Montoya has a long history in the San Antonio civic and business spheres, having served as the Director of Government & Community Relations for Alamo Fireworks, Inc. since 2014, where she acts as the company’s spokesperson and lead on public relations and media relations.

Earlier in her career, she was an Establishing Partner at AXR Strategies, served as the Co-founder & Director of Programs for Literacy San Antonio & SAReads, and worked as an Anchor & Reporter for Texas Public Radio.

A graduate of Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, Montoya is recognized as an accomplished community leader. Her community roles include serving as the Statewide Board Chair for Annie’s List and as a Board Member and Advocacy Chair for the San Antonio Public Library Foundation. She is also a recognized alum of Leadership San Antonio (Class 48) and was named one of the San Antonio Business Journal’s 40 Under 40.

Celina is the mother of 3 children, and prioritizes community building in public schools and in parent engagement especially on the issues around censorship, advocacy and activism, and early childhood and special education.
