Nina Duran is a San Antonio native who’s always focused on the community around her. Nina, 43, graduated from The University of Incarnate Word with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and a Master’s in Communications. While attending college she served as an Associate Producer for “Great Day SA’ and began her work in the communications field. Nina also served as the Publisher of La Prensa Newspaper, San Antonio’s only bilingual, family-owned newspaper for several years, providing our community with positive only news. Nina currently serves as the Executive Assistant at Moat Enterprises, a land development and creative finance company, but she’s most excited about her new book, “A Walk With Alzheimer’s” A Collection of Memories”, a 10-year project consisting of pictures, journal entries and unaltered words capturing her father’s journey with Alzheimer’s through his passing. Duran is also the proud mama of two boys Elijah and Noah and two dogs Mango and Sinatra.
