Annelise “Annie” V. Gonzalez, a native of Laredo, TX, relocated to San Antonio in 1999. She pursued her education at the University of Texas at San Antonio, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master’s in Public Administration. Currently, Annie serves as the Senior Vice President of Operations at the San Antonio Board of REALTORS® (SABOR), where she oversees the membership experience, manages Board of Director meetings, leads various committees, and handles major projects assigned by the CEO. Her role also involves focusing on grants that bring money into the San Antonio community.
Her leadership fosters successful partnerships between REALTORS® and city leaders, establishing strong community relationships. Prior to this role, she held positions such as Vice President of Member Engagement and Business Development and Community Affairs Director at SABOR, where she directed business development, fundraising, and strategic goals, and represented San Antonio at the MIPIM conference in France. Annie also worked as a Constituent Services Liaison for U.S. Congressman Lamar Smith and as a Congressional Liaison for U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, handling constituent inquiries and managing administrative duties. She served as a Public Policy Associate at the William C. Velasquez Institute.
Annie’s commitment to public service was further exemplified by her appointment to the Nueces River Authority Board by Governor Gregg Abbott, serving from 2019 to 2023. She currently co-chairs the Latina Leadership Institute, inspiring and empowering aspiring leaders. Annie has actively engaged with various committees and initiatives, including the Latina Leadership Institute, SAMMinistries Gala Committee, and Texas REALTORS® Diversity Committee, among others. In her personal life, she is married to Cesar Gonzalez and is a loving mother to two children, Audrey and Christian.
